As part of this initiative, we invite submissions of artistic images to be used as the cover of upcoming issues. We are seeking creative and visually striking images, particularly those aligned with the medical and mediastinal themes of the publication.
We encourage artists, researchers, and medical professionals to contribute to this initiative. We would also appreciate your recommendations of colleagues, families, and friends who may be interested in contributing. Submissions will be reviewed for suitability. Once accepted, your artwork will be featured on the cover of a specialized medical journal indexed in PubMed, reaching a global audience of medical professionals and researchers.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Theme: Submissions on any theme are welcome. However, priority will be given to images related to medical concepts, particularly those associated with the mediastinum, thymic malignancies, thoracic anatomy, pathology, imaging, and surgical or oncological perspectives.
2. Originality: Submissions must be original works, and contributors must hold the rights to their images.
3. Copyright: Upon acceptance and payment, the copyright of the image will be transferred to AME Publishing Company, the publisher of Mediastinum. The licensor will grant the publisher the sole and exclusive right to use the image.
4. Remuneration: Each accepted image will receive a remuneration of USD 300 from the publisher.
5. Attribution: Selected images will be credited to the contributor with their signature included on the cover. Additionally, a brief description of the image and an introduction to the artist will be highlighted in the “Cover Story” section of the journal website.
6. Format: Submissions must be high-resolution images in JPEG, TIFF, or PNG formats. Artwork may include digital creations, illustrations, or abstract representations inspired by medical themes.
7. Submission Process:
Each submission should include:
- The image
- A brief description (100-200 words) explaining the inspiration or meaning behind the artwork.
- The medium (e.g., digital illustration, ink on paper, acrylic on canvas, porcelain sculpture)
Please send your submissions to med@amegroups.com with the subject line:
