Luigi Ventura, MD (Thoracic Surgery)

Luigi Ventura is a Resident in Thoracic Surgery at the University Hospital of Parma.

After graduating from Medical School at the University of Parma, he spent one year of Internship Training Post Degree in the Thoracic Surgery Unit and then, he started his Residency.

Currently, he is a Clinical Fellow at the Shanghai Chest Hospital under the guide of Professor Wentao Fang.

Dr. Ventura’s work is focused on Thoracic Oncology and on the surgical treatment by minimally invasive approach. In this period, together with Prof. Fang, he is studying the relationship between VATS lobectomy and phrenic nerve injury.

He is member of SICT (Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery), iMig (International Mesothelioma Interest Group), ETOP (European Thoracic Oncology Platform), IASLC (International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
