Title: Behind the Curtain

Description: The initial idea behind this illustration is to show that doctors are here to help when patients are in need. When a patient seeks medical care, the doctor makes a diagnosis based on the patient's medical history, reported symptoms and the results of necessary tests. By piecing together all the information, the doctor eventually draws back a curtain that has been concealing the disease—revealing that the patient is trapped inside a sick thymus, almost engulfed by it if left untreated. The symbolic image reflects how the condition causes both painful symptoms (like cough, chest pain, shortness of breath and difficulty swallowing) and physical changes to the thymus, holding the patient captive within their own body. With the care of the doctor and the support of the patient and their family, the tumor can be treated, and the patient will be back to a world filled with vibrant green again.

Artist: Currently working as a merchandiser, Cozy Fanta has recently developed a passion for drawing in her free time. She is exploring different techniques and enjoy using art to express stories and ideas. While still early in her journey, she finds the creative process both meaningful and rewarding, and she hopes to continue growing and sharing more along this artistic path.
